I recently bought a bar of soap for my kids that was made to look like a certain magical item from a popular children's cartoon. When we got it home I was surprised to see on the package the warning, "Keep out of reach of children."
This immediately brought two thoughts to mind:
One, who else would want to use a bar of soap shaped like something from a cartoon except a child?
But more to the point: Two, this warning seems rather superfluous. My problem has never been preventing my children from using soap. ("Daddy, daddy, can I take a bath?" "No! You're clean enough already.")
